Education
I’ve been teaching in Swedish and English since 2010. And found that the process of teaching has expanded my own understanding of visual storytelling, as much as practicing it in my own work. I mainly teach the practical process of creating comics and sequential storytelling in comics and children’s books. Previously I’ve held workshops and lectures at Konstfack, The museum of Ethnography, Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, the University of Malmö, Västerås konstmuseum, Botkyrka Konsthall, the Tranströmer Library, The museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde, The library of Göteborg, Kista Library and Maria Fritids klubb.
Workshops
I hold practical workshops in how to creat comics for all ages. Get an introduction to the medium of comics, drawing, writing and storytelling. Or join me in a deep dive in sequential storytelling, how to work with movement, time, pictorial runes and understand the relationship between text and art.
Lectures
I hold lectures on the subject of advanced sequential storytelling in comics and children’s books.
The lecturers focus on different aspects of visual storyteller in theory and practice.
